STAFFORDSHIRE ESF COMMUNITY GRANTS
Community groups and voluntary organisations throughout Staffordshire are being given the chance to apply for grants of up to £12,000 to fund projects that provide training and learning opportunities.
The Community Grants programme provides small grants to local groups who deliver basic employment skills to disadvantaged or excluded people. A £300,000 pot of money has been allocated for the region up until March 2010. The funding is being made available by the Learning and Skills Council and West Midlands Local Government Association's regional European Social Funds (ESF) programme.

BRITISH CERAMICS BIENNIAL 2009 - STOKE-ON-TRENT
The British Ceramics Biennial is the UK's first festival showcasing the finest in contemporary ceramics and will take place in various locations across Stoke-on-Trent this autumn. This flagship cultural event will support investment and creative development in Stoke-on-Trent, the home of the British cerammics industry, building on the city's proud ceramics heritage and culture to act as a catalyst for the transformation of the economy, environment and quality of life.
